Hello and welcome to the seventh grade, Panthers' team! I’m looking forward to a year filled with new challenges, fun, success and above all, learning and plenty of reading! This year we will be reading every single day and eventually all seventh graders (and myself) will be required to have read 40 books by the end of the school year. Above you can find homework, daily agendas of what we learn each day in Language Arts class, as well as other important details about our classroom. Parents, please take the time to read 'What Parents Should Know About Reading' under the 'Important Links' tab. This is very important to successfully support your child in becoming an active, every day reader.
In addition to our weekly agenda and homework assignments, please note our classroom procedures and rules letter that will be sent home on the first day of school.
Important info for parents:
I have created a Remind account. This is a safe opportunity for you to receive text messages or emails straight to your phone that will include homework and important announcements for our Language Arts class. If you are interested, click information below:

Positive Performers:
Everyday I like to award students with what are called "Positive Performers". These are tickets that are awarded to students for keeping themselves on task, participating in class, working together in a positive way with their classmates, and going above and beyond in language arts class. Unfortunately it is rather difficult to continuously print and cut these tickets on a daily basis. If you are interested in helping, please visit the wiki under the "Nowak" folder to find positive performer tickets. Then, simply print and cut out as many as you can and have your child hand them to me during class. If anyone could find the time to do this for our seventh graders I would very much appreciate it! I like to award students every Friday by doing a drawing to win a special prize and the more tickets, the more winners we can have! Thank you!
Gluesticks!
Almost everyday we use glue sticks to glue in handouts and activities in our learner notebooks. Because of this, our supply will run short quickly. If it is possible to donate a couple packs of these it would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
Got any novels you don't read anymore?
If anyone has young adult novels that are appropriate for 7th grade and they are not used anymore, please feel free to donate them to our classroom library! Thank you, it is much appreciated!
You may find daily handouts from Language Arts class on our Wiki page.
